I've still not made up my mind yet. I'm a bit skint at the mo - but I may possibly be thinking sod the money! If I'm not doing it, I may still pop along with the camera anyway. When's the latest we can book? Is it something which we can book on the day if there's places left?

You know it makes sense! Wink According to their website (which appears to be kept up to date) they still have 20 places in Novice, 18 in Inters and 22 in Fast.

You can normally book on the day, but personally I'd rather know I had a place rather than turning up and finding that 15 mates arrived ten minutes before you and took all the remaining places!

Let me know if you still need somewhere to stay before (I was going to say "somewhere to crash" but that's probably a bad choice of words! Shocked ).

Not sure. I won't be hooning it too much because:

A) It's a brand new bike to me (and I've never owned an R6 before).
B ) It has brand new, unworn in brake pads.
C) It's tuned and with the rear sets, damper etc I'm expecting its characteristics to be a bit 'different' from what I'm used to.
D) I don't know the circuit.

Thinking

I'll be happy in either group probably, to be honest. Which were you going to book in?

was thinking about inters, been to silverstone before so know half the track and of the two TD's i have done i have been one of the quickest in novices. but thats probibly as silverstone attracts very novice riders due to the name and there was hardly anyone at snetterton. so not sure what to do, think it will be more benifical to me to be in inters as don't think that there will be that many people there and the possibility that nov and inters get mixed. but this coming off the back of me coming off!
feck me thats a long ramble
inters it is then, if i am dangourously slow i'll move down a group no bother

I'll book there too then, we can wobble round together! Laughing From what I've seen, bouncing between groups, there are normally some people in Novice who should be in Inters (I'm sure some people book into Novice so they can be the fastest guy on the track! Rolling Eyes ) and I've seen some in Inters who should be in Novice (I get the impression people think they're quick on the road and are insulted by 'Novice' tag. Then they get shown up in Inters!). Anyone who's in Inters, but should be in Fast is going to be a fair bit quicker than me anyway so I wouldn't know where they should be!

Don't forget all the novice's trackdayers have probably put their bikes away for the winter now so it will be quieter.

Me and wave are trying to work out the Binometer odds for this one, and we need one important piece of information before bets can be placed...

Has WhiteNoise learned?

Thanking you please. Smile

There is always at least one person who seems to be completely unsuited in everyway possible to track riding. He'll be the 22-stone, 45 year old riding a BMW GS. There is no way you will be slower than this person! Laughing

Learned what? Hopefully not how to wipe me out on the way into turn one! I've (hopefully) learned how not to highside by using a less powerful bike...

what that if you grab the front brake too quickly you have a good chance you will lock the front wheel especially on cold damp tarmac, and the bike will turf you off.
if its that gem of information then have learned
