Your scooter being a 2 stroke houldnt be that badly affected by being left on its side (one of the advantages of a 2 stroke engine is the ability to be used at any orientation,hence the use in chainsaws) I seriously doubt it would be the head gasket, since being on its side shoudlnt cause that to go. if you have spark,compression (test this to rule out head gasket) and fuel your engine should run, I suspect it is a fuelling problem. when you say you tried to light the fuel from the head gasket what exactly do you mean?
