Hey all,

I have a Aprilia RS 125, just wandered where if at all I can do a track day with soley 125 bikes racing round, only i would feel a little uncomfortable with big asse bikes tearing past me at every corner, that coupled with the fact i would feel i would be slowing them down.

Can you even do 125 track days?

Cheers.

Just 125cc bikes doesn't mean you won't be holding people up or going a lot slower than others.

In the same manner I've seen Aprilia RS125s easily holding their own in the fast group at Lydden.

Thats the first thing you need before even thinking about a trackday. Do that and get a bigger bike (anything realy!) then try yourself on track.

ron haslam race school starts ppl off on a cbr125 so you dont necessarily need a bigger bike

although i guess an rs125 is gonna be quite a bit better than a cbr125

if you have smooth lines and maintain your speed on bends, the rs125 wont get in ppls way especially as its natural for beginners to be cautious anyway

Some circuits will insist you have a full licence (motorsport vision circuits - brands, cadwell, silverstone etc) but others will let you ride on a restricted licence.
I shouldn't imagine you'll find a trackday just for 125s, your best bet is to try somewhere like Mallory Park and go out in the novice group, don't worry you won't be too slow. If your RS is full power it'll even have the potential to show up a few 600s with a half competent rider on board.
