I've always fancied one of these for the summer. Great car, soft top down and the wind in your hair!

obviously I'll never give up my bike, but there comes a time when a bike just isn't a practical solution.

So, there are two different models available, the 2.0 and the 4.0 Sport. Common sense would immediately say go for the 4l, but I have no plans to take it off road. So, would I be OK with the 2l? I don't really think this is a car that should be driven fast, so I doubt I'd be attempting to break the land speed record, or even exceeding NSL's for that matter.

Has anyone owned any model of the Wrangler before? Are they any good to drive as a normal car, or are they a pain in the ass?

Cheers!

I’ve heard they can hack some rough terrain, parts are expensive and everything is fun, until you crash.

My uncle had one. It suffered from bad rust on the chassis. It was 3 years old. He had it from new and never took it off road. Good for posing but a sack of w*nk generally. And people take this things off road?

Thumbs Down To Jeep.

I owned a Jeep Wrangler for 2 years. Took one out for a test drive one day and just fell in love with the sound of the engine and it's grunt!! You can rev it up and it just growls and wobbles the whole vehicle!!

I wouldn't touch a 2.0 version, they really are gutless and although you may feel you don't need much power, you really will get frustrated with it.

I had a 4.0 Sahara in Green. They aren't the best built thing in the world, but then no American car is! It doesn't handle fantastically but again you don't buy one for it's amazing cornering ability! It's great just to lord it over everyone on the road!!

The one thing I will say though is that it only does 12-15mpg you WILL spend a fortune on fuel! The boot is tiny too!!

I still have a beige softtop for sale if you get one with a removable hard top!!
