nah its fine mate, its an enduro bike not the cr full blown crosser.. its the AR model so has the low down four stroke grunt then takes off like a 2 stroke does. also the ar is better on fuel and oil then the older models...... two strokes are simple to work on and cheap for parts...... these bikes are known to do 25k miles before work.. tis the first ar model ive had, well impressed, will eat my old drz for dinna.. and you gota love the smell of two stroke in the morning Laughing

I read in TBM that these can have been known to hit 40,000KM on original rings! Shocked

I've always wanted one. MKIII, before the active radical came in as it's supposed to drop the power by a smidge.

It's strange, was only today that i was thinking that it'd be the perfect engine for my Supercity. 45bhp, auto lube, decent magneto, long engine life and plenty of tuning parts.

Thumbs Up

By the way, if that is a Pirelli MT90 on the back, you'll be needing a new one soon. Wink

Had them on my MZ baghira which is nowhere as 'full-on' as that and was getting 1,500 miles out of them. Good tyres though.

Avon distanzia SM tyres are a pretty good compromise between ultra knobbly-grippiness and having some money in your pocket at the end of the month.

its an mt60 buddy (ditch finders) standard ktm issue, and yep its fooked!! ive got a set of new goldspeeds going on tom.. i dont rate them distanzias at all. the ar is only a tiny bit slower top end (bout 5mph) and will get there quicker than the mark 3.. im really surprised how smooth it is for a smoker. very easy to hold a good wheelie...... and it was 47 bhp on the dyno.... Very Happy

Sweet! Very Happy

I'd love an enduro, but I'm way too broad-shouldered, I'd look stupid on one of those skinny things! Laughing

Wicked looking bike! 47bhp at the rear wheel is very good too, they are about 36-37bhp std!

Im going to be happy if my KMX200 makes 30bhp r/w, and that will hopefully be enough for a bit of fun to start with.

The CRM, RMX250S, and KDX250SR are the only 250cc single cylinder 2strokes i know of that hve autolube, and a decent alternator etc. I think any of these engines would be brilliant in a Supercity too!
