3 years on an H100, probably about 5000 miles in total. Passed my car test after I'd had the bike aboput 18 months, hence the delay in doing another CBT and getting back out there.

Did a 5-day DAS, turned up on the first day having never sat on a bike before, passed my test a week later.

Not much, but loads more than most here.
Had a few goes on friends bikes when i was 17. Then nothing until i was 38. So i'm not a born again biker.
My uncle loaned me a XL125, did CBT (had a go on the instructors GPZ) after 2 yrs the XL125 went back and i got a CG125 another CBT cos i couldn't afford to have lessons nevermind a DAS course.
Crunchtime came in November last year as my CBT was due to expire as well as the tax,mot and insurance on the CG. Still couldn't afford lessons so thought what the hell Theory wizzed through then booked my test online with only 5 days left on my CBT. Passed the A2
Now riding a CB250RS and i'm happy i did the A2 because it allows me to have fun and is forgiving with my mistakes. Cos lets face it we all make them now and again.
I'm sure that after 2yrs of riding on A2 i'll be better prepared for what the 600+ machines offer.
I'm here for the long haul, sure it'd be bloody fantastic to have my dream machine waiting for me straight after my test, but i think it'd be showing some scuffs on it before too long.

Like Spock says to Captain Kirk "Live long and Ride"

Pat

PS for Keith
Nice to see you can start posts aswell as finishing them Wink

Pretty much the same (Sadly only an ER5) except 25 years ago I had a C70 for a year. However that does not count as I lived in South Wales and rode it mostly to the rugby club, so I only remember riding there.

My CBT was the first time I had ever sat on any motorcycle. Never even been a passenger.

A week after getting the CBT I bought an RXS100, had one lesson and started to ride to work every day. I clocked up about 3000 miles over the next five months before having one more lesson and passed my test first time.

I then continued to ride the RXS100 to work for the next year before moving up to a Diversion. In those days (early 1990’s) I could have just got straight on a litre sports bike after the test, but caution and lack of cash helped me to take it slow. Don’t regret it. Very good experience.

I had already passed my car test and been driving for a year before my CBT.

Scary really, when you think of it like that

Ditto.

Apart from "ER-5" and "9 years" respectively.

Cbt, onto a 3 day DAS and pass. Only other experience was a summer of motorcross when i was about 10. Although been driving a car for 4 year. I was quite suprised how 'easy' it is to get onto any bike you can afford to insure though. Was straight onto a cbr 600f for myself. All good Very Happy

As soon as the stableisers came off my push bike I was learning the skills that I would need for a bike.
Had a 50cc at 16yrs for a year then a 125cc for a year but was under no pressure to pass as funds wouldn't allow me to get a bigger bike.

1year on TS50X, what a beast Cool Then nearly a year on a TZR125 before taking test just before my 18th birthday.

Had to retake my test 10 years later but that's another story Embarassed That time I had to do the DAS as they had introduced the 33bhp stuff.

Never had any motorcycle lessons nor driving lessons for that matter but passed all car and bike tests first time (but then the bike test is a piece of piss Laughing ).

Hmm, 12 months riding, 3 months on a CG125 and 9 on an RS125, covered about 9000 miles, passed 2nd time with no minors.

It's funny looking back to those days, when it took me like an hour and a half to get from home to the wheel, fun times.
