Torch it?

Another vote for Stinky's solution, or reporting it as abandoned. Why haven't the local scrotes taken an interest if it's been sat there for ages??

Council asked 'Is it taxed?', I told them I didn't know.

Honesty is rarely the best policy when dealing with bureaucracy.

From your description, it sounds like it's been abandoned. Is the guy really going to care (or know) if it's moved forward a few feet if and when he ever comes back for it?

Stay below the radar...

I requested help for trouble from an neighbour from the Shit that is the Polis in Coatbridge. I asked if a copper could speak to the prick and explain how his behaviour was not acceptable.
The Police Bint Constable who answered the phone asked why. I said because I think there is going to be more trouble if someone doesn't intervene/advise.
She asked if I was intending to cause trouble? Shocked

The fuker was parking on my property I only asked the police to help.

Ended up having to pay for a solicitor to write the feker a letter to ask that he quits his behaviour Or Else.

I had asked him nicely but the belligerent bastart refused to behave.

My solicitor said. You can do this by letter or get someone to 'SPEAK' to the guy. I was going to SPEAK to the guy myself but since I had (stupidly) asked the police for help I assumed my details would be on record and if the third party woke up in the Western Infirmary battered about the body I would be 'prime suspect'. (I watch the telly, I know how the police minds work.)

I would move the van myself. If the doors can be opened and the vehicle moved without damage then what can the courts do....?
If the guy continues his action then you would need to seek legal advice (from st3v3@bcf.com) or a real lawyer. Or any of the alternatives up there ^^^

It's only been a couple of weeks, not ages. When I say 'permanently' I mean it's been parked and it hasn't moved as opposed to 'he parks it there every day'.

The guys is just a miserable sod who has put it there to spite one of the tenants in a flat about the shop next door. When the shop closed down this other guy parked on the front a couple of times after and they 'had words', then this van appeared and it's been there ever since.

No tax showing or out of date report to DVLA. Is an easy one.

A lighted, petrol soaked rag stuffed into the fuel tank filler neck is by far more 'motivational' though.

Haha, yeah, get it moved, if you move it just enough for you to get your bike in and out, he might not even notice.

Reminds me of a time when I was sat at the lights, with my handbrake on and the car behind just started pushing me! Turns out it was just my mate, he'd spotted me, I hadn't spotted him, he thought it would be funny. Apparently the look on my face was priceless, looked like I was about to kill him... but then I realised who it was and burst out laughing Laughing Seems things with handbrakes on can be easier to move than you'd think.... he adjusted it for me after that!
