I'm restoring this 1956 Ariel Colt 200 I bought it from London,

I am going to spray the frame my self in the original colour.

I am restoring it to the (as far as I know ) original spec.
It is 200cc.
I have set my self a dead line of a few months to do this bike .
I DO NOT plan to sell her.
I payed for her my self.
And I am paying for all the parts, paint ect.
So thats it so far I will keep you informed.
And if you no any thing more about the bikes please tell me.
cheers,
Jamie stokes.

I think 1930 Ariel might know a fair bit Wink but I haven't seen him out of general bike chat so may be worth messaging him?

£300? Was that off a mate or something? Bargain.

I'd love an old brit project, but the only thing my budget would stretch to is a bantam Rolling Eyes

Please tell me you're not going to restore it to mint original condition then lock it in your garage only riding it to shows. I'd get that running nicely then ride it around as-is: a rare original unrestored classic.

Theres nothing wrong with the Bantams Embarassed I quite like the look of them.

I keep checking out eBay for a cheap resto or basket case that may become something nice. £300 is a bargain Thumbs Up

It would, but maybe look a little strange compared to others of the same era.

This would be a much better cafe style racer Thumbs Up
