Off on holiday

The mothership is loaded, the passports are stowed and Ste and I are off to Portsmouth to catch a really big boat. The next four weeks will be spent exploring the Pyrenees on the XRs, living wild in the middle of nowhere and hopefully avoiding the wildlife. Now that's what I call green laning!

It's a fair old drive on the road and it's so dry right now that full on dirt tyres aren't going to be that necessary in most places in the UK, let alone Spain. I wouldn't have bothered either.

We survived spain. Couple of weeks in the Pyrennes, managed to crash and fall off a cliff , got woken up one morning by a bull walking around where we were camping, much cheap San Miguel, done a lap of Spain so lots of driving. L200 still working, been up and down mountain on and off road.

We made a slight change to the holiday to Spain though, we decided to drive through France, then through Belgium into Holland where there's Amsterdam. So we're now sat in a coffeeshop after 1150 miles and 26 hours driving. Done about 3.6k miles and we've got a week until our ferry which would be leaving from Spain.

Back in England now.... 19 days, 4,200 miles, 1 bull, 1 spider as big as the tax disc in the truck, 1 detour to Amsterdam and 1 very big diesel bill. Photos to follow once they're sorted out a bit.

Barneys in Reading is now open.

17.96mpg using a total of 1,062 litres of diesel. Thats ignoring lost receipts and times filling up when we didn't get a receipt; there were lots of both of those.
