I've heard that these bikes have gearbox problems when using 5th and 6th gear (hitting a false neutral). Can anyone confirm or deny this phenomenon?

instead of flicking the lever with your toe, keep your ankle rigid, move your whole leg up or down

this will give a bit more oomph to the pressure on the gear lever, so you are less likely to get false neutrals

it could also be worth adjusting your clutch at the lever, so that the cable is pulled more when you pull the lever, take the barrel adjuster on the lever, and unscrew it so that more of it sticks out

Did it take you nearly two days to think of that reply?
