Guys,

Summer's here and the like, most of us will be on the roads making best use of what ever time we have. But, i thought if people are feeling very low or have lost a loved one through biking, or have just got incredibly shit riding talent that they've binned it, I wrote a song to rekindle their hope and riding spirit....

It's also for those who have passed on. Keep the spirits alive (also a special shout of to McGee who used a very big word for the first time)

Didn't know where to post it so i thought here would be relevant

A Biker's Monologue

Lol - it only took 45 mins to do it so i werent fussed. As with tuning - funnily enough, i'm talentless enough to warrant a Floyd rose set up from the days of old when i thought "gotta get an ibanez with floyd rose cos Korn, Limp Bizkit and Dexter Holland from the offspring had one"... And cos i weren't bothered replacing the strings properly with .10 gauge strings for which i set the guitar up for (i put 11's on), the springs cause the top E to be really flat and i was already maxed out on the fine tuners... i can't be bothered with it to be honest, i cocked up my left hand somehow by falling on it that i've not been able to do fast complicated solos or do my guitar justice anymore- so i just play chords or arpeggiated chords and sing instead. To think i was gonna write another song about girls, boobs and wanking, i'm glad i didn.t

Oh, incase people were asking for lyrics

here it is

Quote:

Have you ever felt the air rush past your hair
As you ride fast through the darkest night
As you hit the bends you feel inclined to flick her from the left to right

It’s just one big rush
Passing time without a fuss
Take it day by day,
Don’t let harm get in your way
That’s what our mums would all say

Taking it one step closer to the edge of life
Bringing hope and freedom for those who strive
The sense of speed and healing this undying feeling
Stemming from the great machines we ride

It’s just one big rush
Passing time without a fuss
Take it day by day,
Don’t let harm get in your way

Press that button and you’ll get a crescendo singing from a howling four,
Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki or a Yamaha.
A story told by all of us that we’ve all been there before
bikers are so special only few if us will know the score

You yank the gas,s the scenery flashes as you pass
fear and exhilaration, you’ve got nothing more to ask
from your trusty steed, your chosen roads will all take heed
You’ve got nothing to hide, so I’ll see you…
I’ll see you on the other side

It’s just one big rush
Passing time without a fuss
Take it day by day,
Don’t let harm get in your way

No, it's just when i sing i have this very cheesy american/californian pop-punk voice which probably suits 3 chord distorted riffs better.

And McGee DID say "i prefer the crescendo of an inline 4" and i thought, Man, I've got to put that line in! Wink Laughing
