Right, well I started fucking about with the old panels and some insulating tape, and came up with this. Let me know what you think?

Obviously I'm going to have new panels and proper stickers for the finished job, but as a rough sketch it's not bad like.

See my nice braided hoses and Remus can too Lol.

It had been all matt black, but i think im going for a nice high gloss black, and a very bright red/ maybe even reflective.

B&Q Plasticote matt black aerosol FTW! lol

Used Halfrauds primer and satin black for the GPZ. Still not 100% about what design to put over it though. I've been considering the limited edition ZX10R flame scheme Wink

Hmm nice indeed. Thumbs Up

Edit; I suppose I should do the pillion pegs in black too. What do you think about the black rearsets?

The handlebar levers are black too btw.

If you work out the dimensions etc for the proper stickers, I'd be quite interested. Though mine's going to be the reverse - mainly orange but with some black accents. Cool

Well the pillion peg is now matt black too. Only problem is it needs lacquer to stop it chipping off, but most lacquers are gloss, so I'll have to hunt a bit.

Bendy, I'm getting a sign maker mate of mine, to give me some sheets of sticky back stuff to make the stickers myself, so its not to any accurate measurements, but I can make up the templates onto card or something for you and post them over.

I have the insulating tape as a template at the moment, so I'll have to mount it on something harder for myself to do the other side anyway, I can post them to you when I'm done sure. Thumbs Up

Thats exactly what I said to my da lol. Got my tinted DB screen today, and got the florescent red sticker sheets, so I'm busy cutting out the stickers. Looks well to be honest. I'm a bit scared in case I go over board on it though, I keep thinking, "Oh thats would be nice in anodized red." Like the screen trim, but I think I'll leave it as it is now, although I'm not sure, perhaps i should put a 600F, or CBR on it somewhere?

For the rearsets, see if you can find somwehere that sells spray on truck bed liner, I'm from the UK but now live in the US, I can't recall seeing the spray in England but I never really looked, Duplicolour makes some so you can try asking a stockist of their stuff.

It dries to a matt textured finish, like it's been bead-blasted but you can sand it smooth and it is rock solid stuff, won't chip away too easy.

Bike looks sweet, I'm too lazy to do anything to mine tho! lol

The HONDA is going to be made up by my mate and printed and cut by the machine, so it will be the same font as the normal Honda logo, and it will probably sit a little further forward. Thumbs Up

I really like that.
I'm also looking at doing some fairings for my 600F

I'd be interested in working with you on this. I can get the reflective tape and cut it with my vinyl cutter.

Hmmm, might have to get the photoshop out for a play!

Lol thanks swaffs but i already have got flouresent sticky back plastic stuff my sign maker friend uses. If you guys want i could try and scan the templates in and then post them here. I'm not sure how to make sure they are 100% the right size though.

are you going to cut them by hand then?
if your friend is cutting them using his software, I'd be interested in the vector file, as I could cut a set for me and Bendy as well.
(or a jpg would do, perhaps with a few physical measurements on it), give me a shout if I can help with that.

I'm just cutting it all by hand, and I'm getting him to do me the HONDA lettering on his machine. If I can get the templates scanned in, I'll try and get the measurements sorted and stuff. I don't have a scanner at the moment though so it could be a while, I'm not sure if the library has a scanner. Some of the shapes have to be made by 2 or 3 pieces as they are on compound curves, and they aren't perfect, so the templates might be best for you to use as a basis and tidy them up on your computer? This is the first time I've done anything like this but it looks well so far lol.

Gives me an idea or three for my CBR, also black, but streetfighter.

Simple lines, very effective, I like it alot.

I'll get my sticky tape out tomorrow.
