disc locks wouldn't have worked anyway, neither would an alarm.

Chaining it to a solid object would've helped

Gutted, but still should've had the sense to lock the damn thing up.

jebus. makes you think twice about security!
like my brothers car was stolen not so long ago.
my dad doing some weeding around front and went to the back garden to collect the clothes and left the front door open for two minutes.
in this time someone came into the house stole my brothers car keys and telephone from his room and drove off with his car. WHAT WERE THE CHANCES!

Typical internet prick, trying to sound contraversial for the sake of it.

Anyway, that was pretty scary to watch. Did guess that the people carrier waiting at the side of the road might have something to do with it but was amazed when they tossed the bike into it!
Puts the shits up me so much watching that I'll def lock mine to something solid in future. Amazing how quick they did it once they waited for it to get quiet.

My first road bike was stolen by a bunch of Caucasians, does that mean I should therefore think all white people are wankers? Confused

That video reminds me way too much of the CCTV my college had of the white van that robbed my bike right outside the front gate of my old college... Sad

Front and rear disk locks would have helped.

Any chain can be cut , that's why I have a cheaper one and
not a £150 one.

How quick????

That's one of the rasons why i'm not spending anymore than £500-800 on a bike.

Even then, i'd still sabotage it. Maybe remove the ECU or other ''key'' component.

CDI Wink and better to sabotage something that's hard to get for it, although it'd most likely be stripped anyway.

Is YouTube a secret meeting place for the KKK then? Just reading some of the comments on that video.

Anyway, this is why you should always chain the bike to a solid object.

In London, for the past couple of years at least, it's quite common to rock up at a bike bay with a 'recovery' van and remove a bike. Often, there's a bloke fully kitted out, pretending to be the owner, so as not to raise suspicion. They even cut through chains, as the 'owner' has 'lost his keys'. Hence, I've told my neighbours to call the police if they ever see anybody but me by my bike, even a breakdown van, as I'd be there to release it.

Good thinking. Never realized it was all so organized, at least mine isn't worth nicking, and it's locked up to something secure at my stops. Minimum disc lock for just popping down the shop.

Two cheap chains is the way to go IMO, and insure the bike for a healthy value - more than you paid for it - the premium won't go up by much but you'll feel a lot better if it gets nicked!

I bought my SV650 for £1500 and spent about £500 fixing it up, but I have it insured for £3k and I think if it got nicked I'd actually not be that bothered... Think what I could get for £3k!

Fascist cunts just find the internet a great place in general to hide and spout their vile tripe in a cowardly fashion.

I'd like to see them stand up in the middle of a pub and shout those things. Rolling Eyes
