Ride out ! monsters on the Plain !

WTF > is gone quiet in this section maybe us dirty riders do spend more time on our bikes than posting endless drivel ?

Time for a little ride report with the lads from xrv forum.

Sunday 21st October.

Area/ Salisbury Plain/ Shaftesbury Drove..

Seemed like a good plan at the time, simply lead a group of riders on easy gravel paths. most of them on Africa Twins/ Transalps, nearly all on road based tires !

The mob from the xrv site seemed more than keen, so keen that some of them suggested they would be up for something a little more challenging

Not to dissapoint them I though It would be good to take them on the route now called "The Salisbury Plod" ( missing the Ox Drove !)

Yep it was a slow process, it was fantastic watching the lads wrestle bike that weigh 240+k in nasty conditions.

So you all waiting fro the crash pics sorry it didnt happen on the biggys , that was to happen later to a well known TBM user

Some of the bikes even had little compartments to keep the pasties warm, dont get those on a 525 , shame

Lunch time at the Grove, hot beef .hot pies. ice cold drinks , best psrt of the day.

The landlord make us more than welcome(as usual tells us to park the bikes on his imacculate front lawn) WHY O WHY did I not have the camera ready for the young lady serving the meals, OMG she had fantastic pair of tomatoes, left us all of a flutter, we all loved tommy sauce that day.

A short road ride led us out on to the Plain , LOADS of bike about today .

To those of you out in cyberland browsing this forum thinking that it would be a nice little place to take out you mini-moto / crosser DONT EVEN CONSIDER IT , the police presence has be trebled due to to many incidents in the last month, yes they even have a nice new helicopter to play with, times are changing on the Plain, make their day !

Time to head for home , sun was slowly heading below the stones, conclusion for the day ??
