Element, I'd definitely consider putting the lock through the frame of swingarm. Doesn't take long to get a front wheel off and your bike will disappear.

or get an alarm? built in or disc would do the job. Followed by a flying headbutt. Laughing

not much effort to get the swingarm off either.. or either crop the chain. even an expensive lock+chain (i mean like £100+ jobbies) can be done in less than a minute.. My bikes are well looked over pretty much round the clock anyhow..My I can see them from my desk and pretty much my pillow Evil or Very Mad Also I rarely chain the front wheel. I normally chain the back wheel to a lamp post the chain the back wheel to the swingarm Wink Forgot to mention its also covered at night Thumbs Up ..

Yea cat b, i was going to do soemthing with it but the insurance wouldn't let me have it, even for cash, they said as its a cat b it has to be off the road. I argued, saying it was my own bike ect. but they wasen't having any of it ! So i left it for them to pick up, but i took off some plastics, the exhaust, battery, air filter and sold them.

Nice dt jeff6, but is there a reason why you didnt buy a yz 125 ?

A Cat B can only be used as spares, Cat C and D can be put back on the road, Cat A goes straight to the crusher.

my dt125re was a cat c that I bought off a guy and I put that back on the road. If i wrote it off again Id buy a frame with v5 then rebuild it with salvaged parts.. you could go buy a half decent DT for around the £1k mark but id rather build one Smile

cheers for the comments, yup there Avon distanza's. really good tyres. once you get heat into them you can really push your self to the limits. i run them at 18psi and 22psi. just right, not too sloopy or bouncy.

2nd owner. Bought for £950 as a cat C write-off @ 4k miles!

Since buying it ive put 12k miles on it and have fitted

Big One full system
-1 tooth front sprocket (JT sprockets, DID heavy duty chain) x3 sets in 12k miles Shocked
EBC brake pads
EBC heavy duty rear disc
Renthal style bars + brace pad
Renthal grips
Racetech handguards (Best you can buy for £20 imo)
Acerbis DHH (ufo style) twinspot headlights
Acerbis YZ front mudguard (You try find a decent BLACK front mudguard!)
Heavy Duty clutch cable
New footpegs
YZ125 alloy gear lever
Custom made Aluminum bashguard
Custom made Aluminum tail tidy (8x6 plate)
Carbon effect, clear lens, arrow micro indicators

off the top of my head...

Also full power after wire trick, catalyst removed and aftermarket exhaust fitted.

will take needle off the clock (reads 85mph, true speed prob 80mph) with standard sprockets (16/57), stock exhaust, wire trick and blocked catalyst. prob do true 85mph with derestricted front pipe. Would love to try a 17t front sprocket though!

It kinda looks like a BF Goodrich Crossengo but I could be wrong mate.

My bike a bit updated it now has a DEP pipe, Pro-grips, Renthal bars and a BF Goodrish rear tyre.
