Remember it's not like a TomTom - there's not a base map on it.

When you download a route to it it just appears as a line on the screen and you just follow it. When following you will see a man in the middle of the screen and the route going from top of the screen to the bottom. You see the live veer off to the left? You veer left when the man gets there and you see it in real life. Very basic but very effective.

It does speed, height, waypoints and other stuff as well.

Further reading on the DEFRA site after a nice chat with some PCSO's this afternoon, if you get caught somewhere its not up to them to prove that you're not allowed there:

"The burden of proving that there are public vehicular rights of way rests with the defendant. The prosecution does not have to show that there are no vehicular rights." linky

And it would seem they can give you a £30 fixed penalty if they so choose, as well as the official warning on the first offence.

"A constable must not seize a motor vehicle in the exercise
of the powers conferred on him by section 59 unless (a)
he has warned the person appearing to him to be the
person whose use falls within section 59 that he will seize
it if that use continues or is repeated, and (b) it appears
to him that the use has continued or been repeated after
the warning. However, such a warning need not be given if the circumstances make it impracticable (and in certain
other limited circumstances)."

Moral of the story is when someone notices police approaching and suggest that now would be a good time to fuck off out the area, it probably is a very good time. Laughing

Try This
Got mine from him for £37 + P&P so £52.
Edit: Just noticed they are the 101's not the 201's Confused

The only difference between the 101 and the 201 appears to be the built in re-chargeable battery !
Joe - do you know if the 101 will do everything yours does - ie: load maps and save routes and interface with the PC etc?

Silky, I think you are right.

See this comparison

I wonder why there are no 201s really for sale on Ebay anymore? Maybe a newer model is on the way?

That's the Forerunner - a different model to the Foretrex. Built for running with a heartbeat monitor.

So many that do similar things Laughing
