My Billet Alloy Race fuel cap arrived today! Thanks to my Lovely Girlfriend. Dance!
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/2008/04052008436.jpg

Then we went for a ride out to hastings as im working tomorrow and cant do the May Day run. Crying or Very sad
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/binge/2008/04052008439.jpg

Weather was pretty clammy, But was a good ride out. Passed ALOT of bikers along the way. Also passed another NC29 in these colors.

Yes I know the picture is an MC22.

Was Chuffed as I NEVER see other NC29s on the road. I think ive seen 2 or 3 in the year ive been riding the bike.

Then when we got home around 3 ish, I met up with my Mam and Dad, went for a spin. Had a little race around town, His bus Busa was too much of a tank on the twisties for him to keep up, But when we hit the dual carriage way he had to flex his muscles and show me up.

No idea mate. I just went to my sprayers house. There was an Audi A3 parked opposite. I pointed at it and said "I want it that colour".

Audi Blue?

Greatest invention ever!

NC29 (And possibly other Honda 400s) have double folding pillion pegs. As they weren't really built as pillion bikes, The pillion pegs fold back like every other pillion peg. Then theres a little tab, When you pull it, the whole arm rotates 90deg and flips up behind the rear fairing.

They are black so in most photos the peg just blends in with the tyre but if you look close on that last photo you can see one of them just in front of the exhaust hanger. (which is also black)

I did put the VFR400 pillion pegs on, they don't fold away and fairing mods are needed to fit them so I didn't bother in the end.

Might have another shot, or buy some fire blade pillion pegs as im sure they can be made to fit. The girlfriends feet slip off these ones alot.

Afraid I didn't buy the RC211v Style seat unit, I can put you onto the guy who makes them though, PM me if you are serious about buying one, Although I would leave that RVF alone boyo!

Yeh those rears are a bit dear Confused
But seriously I only want to get the black transfer for the tail and a seat cowl then I'd be chuffed.

Lovely bikes as original are'nt they, actually Binge your the reason I went for the Honda 400's type (don't mean that in a gay way)
but your NC29 project and the old pics of the NC30 really made me want a VFR/ RVF. I could'nt find a VFR in the best colours for reasonable money(Red'n'Black) and I allways slightly preferred the RVF, so finding one that conveniently is a dream come true.

I've said it before mate you're an inspiration Wink

I always fancied myself an RVF too, Was offered one waaaaay back for a mere £1500 in VGC. But I didn't really know what USD forks were, Didn't take into account the 17" rear wheel or anything like that. So Opted for the NC29 simply because my Dad had a CBR600.

I didn't even know the VFR/RVFs were V4 to be honest. It was back when I was looking into doing my test.

Wish I did go for the RVF at £1500 now as it was very tidy. Ah well, I love my NC29, It would just benefit from some USDs.

Ahh well the most important thing about a bike is that you are happy with it really... And your NC29 is beautiful, a real acheivment and all the hard work seems to have paid off, I'd be proud of it myself.

So, onto the bike Wink how much you reckon you'd be wanting for it if you came to sell?
I'd hazzard a guess it'd be more than my bank would let me have but everytime you post pics I lust over it more. Razz One of the best 400's I've ever seen. Thumbs Up

Taking into account that although the front faring is Fiberglass, However its got some trick parts etc, and is actually 1 zero zero Percent MINT. Id probably accept what I paid for it a year ago. Ive spent around 2 grand rebuilding it.

£1500?

Maybe i'll sell it soon once this insurance claim has finished depending on weather I get my NCB back or not. if I get it back, I will have 4 years NCB and will be able to insure something nice. Like a TLR1000. Cool

Girls in leathers = win.

I`ll catch ya on MSN about photos Luke, my N95 camera isnt all they are cracked up to be I don't think. Thumbs Down

That Vaux blue is actually quite nice, I was going to go for black, But then realised it would mean getting the wheels done black etc etc.
Just wanted it finished. Plus its down on the log book as Blue, And cant be arsed sending it off to change its colour etc.

I do wheelie off the curb but I did it once last year at ebbsfleet and it sort of went sideways a tad, Wheel spun when the rear wheel hit the road, and almost high sided. So im weary about doing that now! Laughing
