whats the wiring trick people talk of ?

also seen this page ..

https://www.dtr125.net/tuningf.htm

is that all i need to do ? take the metal bit out, and sort the power valve ?

or is it best to buy a full dep exhaust ? but £240 is a lot of wonga, would taking the metal bit out, and putting a £60 dep sinlencer bit be the same/as good ?

appriciate any help, thanks

First off man there are loads of threads about derestricting DT's on this forum and on the net.
About buying a full DEP system that should give you a good increase in BHP (double in some cases) but ive also heard that a standard DT exhaust that has had the restrictor removed gives you more, i persenlly have a DEP silencer and am planning on buying a derestricted standard front pipe then when i can afford it buy a DEP front pipe.
Good luck getting more horses out of your DT mate i need more myself considering my 01 only does 60 Smile.
