Just starting out with a bit of trail riding, not had the DR that long. I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Manchester / Liverpool / Wigan area already into it with a bit of local knowledge?

I have a few local lanes, but they are quite short and not exactly plentyful!

I have thought of joining the TRF, but I'm not that seriously into it yet, I only get the odd weekend off from my paternal duties, so would rather join up with some other locals to start with.

Would love to here from anyone with knowledge of the trails over Rivington if there is anyone!!

Cheers, ride safe. Thumbs Up

I have just started going to the odd TRF meeting, not too far from you at Mawdesley (if you are in the Wigan/Chorley area).

They seem to ride mainly in the Lakes, Dales & Wales. Don't think there is too much local. There is nothing here on the Fylde coast.

Not been out on a ride with them yet, but they are quite a friendly bunch, why not try it? With the recent changes in law and reclassification of trails, you really need their expertise if you want to ride legally. Smile
