Want to do a few trick bits and pieces to this, and figured it's better in here than my thread in General Pictures.

Went and looked at this a couple of weeks ago:

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/2.jpg

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/4.jpg

Took her for a test ride and thought yeah she's lovely. Got the cash out and snapped her up:

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/money.jpg

Rode her home very happy:

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/7.jpg

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/8.jpg

Got up the next day and took the stickers off, I thought these were 'tacky'.

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/11destickered.jpg

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/12destickered.jpg

Fitted headlight covers, gives the bike a nice stealth look!

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/headlightcovers.jpg

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/headlightcovers2.jpg

Bought a new plate as the current one says "Daz's B1H" from the previous owner.

Spent a while looking at various numberplate slogan topics and this one made me laugh the most, so I got it:

https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/GrahamVFR/ZX6R%20636%20B1H/plate.jpg

Bought some braided lines for her yesterday, and plan on getting some wavy discs.

Thumbs Up

Did wonder about them, but then the LED tail-light is one unit, as opposed to the R6 rear lights, which is 2 seperate units of LED's, which is what they use for advertising.

Definetly needs some kind of rear indicator improvement, I just haven't found anything I really like yet.

The plate is 7.5" by 5.5", smaller than allowed but not taking the piss so shouldn't be too bad.

How much that cost you? £2700 odd?

Very tidy bike, a nice pointy tail tidy is needed though.b

I don't know what it is about these but i'm still to make my mind up whether i like them or not... i think it could just be the big red and white sticker though.

Much like the zx7r's big yellow sticker!

Nice bike all the same though, i wouldnt say no to it! Mr. Green Smile

I think the can may have a removable baffle, and I think £850 for a full system is pretty good, most akra/yoshi ones are 1k and up. Shocked

I bought these for the 636 https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/gbmoto-rearsets-ZX10R-ZX10-ZX10-R-ZX-10R-ZX636-b1h-b2h_W0QQitemZ130236330797QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130236330797

Quite cheap but found the quality to be good. Came with everything we needed. Has loads of adjustments. If you got the cash then there's no harm in spending £300 on Harris/Gilles etc though.

A good buy, and a good colour too!

That arata exhaust looks LUSH! I remember Dale Lomas from Performance Bikes had one on his ZX6R b1h ages ago and praised it for its build quality. Saw the bike on MCN ninjas and thought - if only I had the cash and still had my 4 years NCB!

I think my next bike will probably be a B1H in black since i've always favoured black quacks. it does look angular and unique.

I also had those integrated indis on my ZXR250 and they weren't too bad. Eitherway, i was always a fan of clear lenses.

Tell you what, stick some HID's in there! Look for an ebay seller called dianneshop and order the right fitting for your headlight (preference would be if you have H7 lights, just have the xenons on low beam) - 30 quid is a definite investment and extra blue bling - DON'T bother getting 8000k, 6000k is diamond white and won't get you in trouble with plod. Loving your bike though.

Unfortunately, Arata (or Moriwaki) don't make a ti system for my NC; I had to make do with a TSR instead.

My RR on the other hand...

Bike looks better Graham. Was never a big fan on the Notre Dame looks I must admit, but blanking those lights is an improvement to masking its cosmetics. Bit of a cost to your visibility mind (just make sure to add a louder can- Racefit?).

Looks smart as it is, I wouldn't go overboard with the Demon Tweaks catalogue. A few choice suspension mods to calm the standard Kawasaki crude springs and making sure it's in best possible working order would be my only port of call.

I don't think that a rear shock mod would be needed just yet? It's only when you start to find the limits of the standard shock, or not surprisingly find that the shock is mullered would you want to fit a new one... Hyperpro track shock seem to get a good rating from the boys on mcnninjas - get yourself on there too.

I found the stock setup to be quite harsh - felt like a springboard plank when I test rode one; which launched the bike off road imperfections, rather than soaking them up. My twitchy Blade felt more secure down a bumpy backroad. Decent suspension doesn't need to do that. Get the spring rate right, the damping as good as a pro can make for it, and better use of the bike's lightweight flickability can be had (and thus confidence, composure and cornering speed).

I did look at them actually. The thing with rearseats, is that I like the position they are as standard, so buying them would be pure tart factor, I suppose that's what alot of mods are for though! They are a bit matt for my liking, but could maybe get them powdercoated?

Yeah, you have the option of not plugging the indicators in, so you can just have a clear lense, I might give it a go.

I have 6000k HID's on my car, I am extremely impressed with them, although £30 seems cheap??

The headlight covers are removed at dusk/night as I won't sacrifice my visibility for looks in that instance Thumbs Up

I have to agree, I found the bike shockingly harsh ride, I thought it was just because I hadn't ridden for well over a year! It's not something I'm too fussed about, I haven't really pushed the bike much yet except in a straight line so have yet to comment on the handling.

I have to say I've been thinking all afternoon about that exhaust system, it looks so so nice Neutral I'd be interested to know how it sounds though, and if you could maybe get one 2nd hand one to save some dough?

I want to book a trackday, but my credit card isn't accepted on the website, ghey!

Thanks for all your comments Smile

One of my mates had an SP1 with a full Moriwaki system, was the most epic sounding bike I've ever heard.

I've got that unit on by B1 with an R&G tail tidy, cleans the back end up nicely.
This year I've also changed the shock. I fitted an 07-08 shock with a 04-05 ZX10R linkage, makes a big difference to the harsh rear end.

Just while I remember Rolling Eyes
With that tail light you'll need resistors fitted or fit a new relay. I ended up putting a relay in it's far less hassle.
