Anybody got any sites they can recommend as being good for buying tyres from?

Cheapish/good delivery/prompt etc.

Google brings up lots of companies but I want to go with a reputable company.

Thanks.

https://www.blackcircles.com/bikes

Seem to get good press.

There's a guy near me that I get my stuff from, so I don't need to go online.

I normally go onto ebay and find a seller called roundandblack. Pretty much next day courier delivery after payment is made. I'm sure the londeners among you will give better recommendations - but roundandblack are the cheapest i have found.

here's the dude's shop

Cheers guys.

I'm sure off the top of my head that the 636 is 180/55/17, I'll double check before ordering.

Just one thing though, I didn't realise there are 3 different types of Pirelli Diablo. Anyone shed any light on the best one?

Corsa III, Sport or Strada.

Corsa III is the most expensive so I presume the 'sportiest', then short, then strada, am I right?

OK I can't find any in 120/65/17 for the front.

Will it matter if I got 120/70/17? Not too hot on my knowledge of tyre profiles.

Asking as I've just seen this bargain

120/70 should be absolutely fine - only very marginally taller than a 120/65.

95% certain that all 600cc+ sportsbikes come with 120/70 tyres on the front, I would buy without worrying at all.

EDIT:
That is a fucking bargin and no mistake.

What's the difference?

Is that the part from the rim to the edge of the tyre?

Not 100% certain it works like that (i.e. like cars do). It is definitely to to with 'height' of the tyre, but whether it is the height of the sidewall or the height from the crown to the rim is something I don't know.

Just looked on moto-tyres.com, which searches for tyres by bike types, and it brings up 120/70 as well as 120/65's for your bike.

It will be fine.

Yeah, they're brilliant tyres -- it only breaks traction if you're being proper silly.

Just buy the rear -- you can have my front for practically nothing even though it only has like 400 miles on it... I want new tyres all round. Very Happy

Works for me. Very Happy

With pirelli I'd go for diablo corsa 3's minimum, Guy who runs a track school near me uses them on his all his bikes.

next step up is the dragon supercorsa pros which you should be able to get cheap as they have been superseeded by diablo supercorsa's.

I bought new tyres for the car through that website - ordered them last Wednesday and they were fitted first thing on Friday morning. The tyres were £20 cheaper each than I could get them anywhere else and included fitting. Thumbs Up

If you do go through them, I would recommend calling the fitting place you've chosen before going there just to check that they a) are expecting you and b) are going to fit you in at the time you expect - the fitters get about 3p for fitting blackcircles tyres so understandably you aren't going to be their priority.

I believe it works like this

120 the width of the tyre (MM?) 70 - the heigh measured as a percentage of the width i.e. on a 120 tyre the height would be 84 if it was a 120/70

Spot on. Thumbs Up

The 84 is the highest point of the tyre.
