A Typhoon engine is a 2 stroke.

Good project Thumbs Up Just wondering though, why did you swap the Speedfight monoshock front end for a Vivacity USD fork set up?

Get a front mudguard. And cut the L out, And stick it on there. That L in the front grille looks gash.

Other than that looks sick. Is that a 12 bar on the back? or is it the frame part of the sandwich maker spoiler you had on there?

Looks cool though, Bet it goes a bit better than a speedfight too dont it?

Is the shock meant to attach like that at the top, or has it been bodged on? Because it looks like the pivot at the top of the shock is twisted 90 degress in the wrong direction... So when the suspension moves and it tries to move... Well yeah, i'd imagine it'd do bad things.

My apologies if i'm just talking out my arse, don't have any experience with scooters.

And wouldn't jacking up the back make it a bit twitchy, by reducing the rake angle...

Apart from my witterings, it looks smart. And that's saying alot.

I'm putting bets on it originally being a 50cc because of the exhaust. I don't think Giannelli made an exhaust for the 100cc.

It was definitely a 100cc before hand because they never made a 50cc Air cooled with a rear disk. Only the Liquid cooled 50cc came with rear disk.

yep, I've heard of the 172 kit, I was eying up the conversion for my Gilera ICE last year. was gonna go Typhoon 125 2t, Then 172 it. Never got round to doing it though.

The best reason would be because you wanted to stay on the road and stay alive!

The single sided front end is the biggest most dangerous piece of shit i've ever had to endure on any bike. It does not work! Simple as that! I had a Speedfight with the dizzy heights of 11bhp, and it was just dangerous IMO!

Nice project by the way, even if i can't help but think you would have ended up better off and have a better bike if you had just done the same body work mods and bar conversion on an SR125.

I've been there also mate. Probably somewhere in the regeion of 10 - 15bhp too. I was running MHR everything really. Alot of power was squeezed out of the little 70cc LC motor in my old speedfight.

It was the Speedfight 1 too, So it had the earlier front swing arm. Wasn't bearing mounted I don't think, It was rubber bushed. I upgraded to a Speedfight 2 front end. IMO it was better, but still dangerous.

The idea of forks, is when you apply the front brake, they dive, Putting weight on the front wheel, Pushing it further into the ground. Resulting in more grip.

The speedfight front end, I dont know if you noticed, but when you applied the front brake, The front of the bike actually lifted, rather than dived! Shocked

the reason i didnt go sr 125 typh or a runner or summit as there boring
not dissing them i would gladly buy one for the comute to work
but i wanted somthing no one else would have ive always been a fan of the speedfight 1 and 2
ive loved the piaggio engines due to the tuneabuility and all round looks
so when my speedfight 1 was pretty much f**ked i cracked on buying the parts i needed
as i had my rs to get me to work and back
and the good thing about my bike is im still coming up with things to do to it Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
