I've been talking about it since I had the bike and I feel that things are finally starting to pick up now, my RVF is in the process of an overhual and some severe tarting.

Me and BeatNck fitted a new clutch and finally got it to work just a week before the BCF Minimoto/ Karting event.

The rear light and numberplate at the time failed the MOT, though the mechanic told me he'd waver the plate if I sorted the rear light, I was going to go with zip-ties until I thought of this Laughing

Frankenstien lulz

I had ordered a fuck load of parts, and spent about £100 on fairing fasteners, clutch cover bolts, a lifter plate bearing and a special tool to lock the primary drive shaft... Also I ordered my one liner and some other bits and bobs Cool

One of the last plates of its kind to officially be made in england Cool

We got it started and I took her out like this on brand new tyres.

500 points to the first person to correctly guess what happened?

It was having troubles with starting so I went over all the basics, replaced, checked the fuel lines and airfilter, refreshed the oil and all the service bits etc... decided to leave it to settle for a few days and it sprang into life just in time for the event.

Back from Reading and all the while I'd noticed that the exhuast has been blowing at the rear manifold, steadily getting worse and losing back pressure but fuck it sounded cool Embarassed .
So we've had allsorts of fun at college removing allmost the entire rear end just to get the system out... and I've taken it as an oportunity to start tidying the bike up and cleaning things.

So far I've:
Removed the subframe/ all associated parts.
Removed the rear shock.
Removed the collector box and rear manifold which has been tidied up and replaced the cross threaded bolts with High Tensile jobbies.
Cleaned the forks, radiators, allot of the grimiest parts of the bike.

Stripped the subframe and allmost completed sandblasting, ready for painting.
Removed the wheel, forks and yokes ready for new head bearings.

In the next week I will:
Finish sandblasting the subframe and then go onto the pillion hangers if I decide I'm keeping them on, aswell as the top and bottom yokes.

Paint all these parts with Hammerite Black hammered effect paint.
I'm also thinking about a custom engraving into the top yoke Thinking .

Also these arrived today, I can't take any pics yet but I can tell you the awefull Michelin stickers were goen straight away, and I think I got them for a steal, considering they're allmost mint Mr. Green

Anyway sorry for this sort of hectic write up, its rushed as I wanna get otu and have been putting it off, I'll try to keep it updated and get some action shots of new developments at college.

Yeh you have the prices right but I get free fitting and I do belive my dear little cock that I only paid £3.50 for postage.

I'm quite obviously fitting a very small replacement plate, that is 100% illegal but also 100% officially mine, now I'd appreciate it if you kept your long nose out of my affairs mkay?

Yeh, a swift bop to the nose can sort out intruders but I'm powerless to stop my plate from being cloned really.

Tbh, Bridgestone 090's are expensive. but they're really really really sticky and awesome fun.

I pay 190 for both front and rear fitted (10 quid fitting)

If it was some shitty tyres than I'd agree.

And Mac, you should do what I'm doing. I've completely and utterly stripped my Hornet. It's not in bits, nothing attached to the frame or anything. Going to be fun! Mr. Green

The lugs in that fairing were fucked, so its to stop the rear light from jumping all around the back of the bike.

The new plate is 22.?mm by 5.0mm, and no the Carbon tat one is the one that went on Razz
