Basically I'm a novice when it comes to mopeds lets get that straight now! I have a piaggio NRG and my one problem is im mission an air filter box (i think) can someone confirm this? also do I need an air filter box specifically made for my type of moped or will any do? also would frontal damage fail me on mot?

Any old foam filter will do as long as the diameter is the same as the link tube.

I know little about scootays but it does appear to be missing the airbox. I hope you are not riding it as it is as a lot of crap will be getting into the engine. Find an origional NRG box at a breakers or on ebay.

Having no airbox will make it significantly louder. So will the aftermarket exhaust as someone said in the other thread.

As for the front end damage, it depends. We'd have to see some pics.

Yep you can use that airbox above, just search on ebay for any Gilera/NRG/Typhoon airbox.
You really shouldn't ride it either as it will be running lean and you will end up seizing your engine.

This is also why your bike is running loud, as i said in the other thread.

Yes. I would email and ask if it has the filter inside included before buying.

This item as you can see by the photos below is in excellent condition. This item has just been removed from a fully running and working machine.

A lot of these parts we have for auction for this moped, will also fit other NRG mopeds, like the MC3 etc etc

But my bikes a w reg... this is so confussing I feel like taking it to the scrap yard!

You will need the airbox off the same bike.
