I need a bit of help, i've done 2600miles on my YBR and the stopping power has no bite, having recently needed to slam the brakes on hard, i had the lever as far as humanly possible and was still not stopping quick enough..

Now... my YBR is a jap model 2008, it's not UK spec, so i'm not sure if this is different.

I need good brake pads i believe, can anyone tell me which pads i need/has a link to a set? looking for as good as possible really.

Any other tips would be great.

Cheers

EBC HH pads are widely recommended. Can't find any HH for your bike but they do GG ones here.

Before letting the new pads touch them give the disks a real good clean with brake & clutch cleaner to get rid of any possible grease/oil. As you seem to be getting good feel at the lever but sod all stopping power it sounds like there is possibly some contamination already.

Also worth checking that the piston is free to move and not partially seized
