I have a plug on my bike where an alarm/immobiliser just plugs straight into it, I just had a question, the immobiliser part doesn’t seem to work when the alarm is set if I turn my electrics on with the key the alarm sounds but I can still start the bike and drive off, is this normal or is it wrong, I was thinking maybe the real key could override the alarm/immobiliser, remote start doesn't work either.

A safety feature possibly, if it is don’t understand how I could possibly test the immobiliser out without getting someone to try and rob it.

if the immbiliser isnt working would i be best off leaving it the way it is, dont fancy breaking down somewhere with an immobiised bike with a flat battery or possibly blown fuses and relays.

Unless your key has a transponder chip in it (such as Honds HISS) then you would need to disarm the alarm with the fob before the ignition would work. Make sure it is actually an immobiliser/alarm you have though and not just an alarm in which case it would be working correctly.

i like the idea of the immobiliser so am gonna get a shop to get the remote start and immobiliser working sometime. how long dya reckon that should take considering everything else is already wired in.

I don't like the idea of remote start for lots of reasons, it's not going to work unless you bypass any clutch switch that the bike has and on a bike as simple as an EN125 which is possibly not going to have a sidestand cutout you invite the situation of forgetting it's parked in gear and remote starting it. Result is the bike lurching itself off the sidestand and onto the floor, how cool.
