Ordered a chain and sprockets from them last week. Have removed the old chain and sprockets ready for these new ones to arrive.

And they havn't, checking my order on their website says they are still pending shipment.

Have tried e-mailing and phoning, no answer from either.

I just searched the forum, and it seems 2 or 3 people have had problems with them aswell. Anyone used them recently? Restore my faith that they might actually send me these soon!?

Heres the other threads -

Really wish I had of checked on here before ordering!

Luckily it was bought with a credit card....but really, I just want to either cancel, or recieve it soon, as the bike's sat there doing nothing in the last few decent days of the year!

Interesting to note they are breaking UK trading std regs, by not showing a address for themselves.....

Trading as "Hi-way Transport Services"

11 Pinewood Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3HN

A check at companies house shows that they are not listed under the name in the T/C.....

TBH.....

Would not touch them with a barge pole, after looking for that info.

As you paid via a CC you are covered... Just got to allow them 30 days to deliver.....
And DO NOT CANCEL the order or they will be unable to assist you. Thumbs Up

It's always easy in hindsight, as, like you, looked through all the info in the past week and it's looking worse!

The previous threads are fairly old, so this companys been around quite a while.

Been ringing throughout the day, probably about 4 or 5 times, no answer, or response through e-mail.

Balls.

They were about £15+ more expensive for the same items.

Obviously looking back it would have been better spent there, but moneys tight and £15 is a fair bit of cash at the moment.

Annoying as the moto-racing website is pretty good, and seemed a decent website, probably why I didn't check harder before buying.

I agree, I'm not the easiest person to get hold. I run two companies and for the last year I've been dealing with a serious legal matter only a few on here know about that has really eaten into my time.

I have just looked back through all my PM's and I've not received one from you in the last year so I'm guessing I didn't receive it but I apologise anyway.

One thing I do pride myself on is that I never take money off of people unless I have the part or know when I will get it. If people's worst complaint is that they can't get hold of me rather than I took their money I will settle for that. If it's something I do hold in stock it's in the Ebay shop and if you take a look there you will see just how quick items get shipped out and delivered, I don't even use the Royal Mail strikes as an excuse not to deliver items quickly.

Is there any way to cancel this quicker? If I have to wait a month.....that's a month without the bike, which would be a big pain.

I know I should have waited for the chain to arrive before I cut the old one off, but I had some free time and thought it would be quicker once the chain arrived......

I can't cancel the order via the website, I've e-mailed twice and phoned quite a few times, and nothing.

Obviously now, I'd just rather pay the extra from somewhere else, and at least recive the damn thing!

If I contact the credit card company, will they just tell me to wait a month? The website clearly states they will contact me if an item is out of stock or will be longer than the estimated delivery time (5 days for the items I bought). They have not contacted me, and I am unable to contact them.

The online order status checker still shows the order as 'pending shipment' this hasn't changed since I made the order.

Now it's business trading like this which is severely affecting my income.

I only sell what I have in stock and I'm honest about what I have. I will get stuff in to order for people and then they have it in a few days but always by prior agreement. There are now huge amounts of companies trading on the internet who don't hold any stock at all, take weeks to deliver stuff but because they are a few pounds cheaper people still use them. Screws the real businesses until they can no longer afford to trade as they do hold stock.

Right i deal with this stuff on a daily basis.... But different card providers may interpret or deal with the regs in different ways.

I would contact your card provider now and see what they say. Better to get in early.

DO NOT CANCEL THE ORDER ....

If you do your card provider will be unable to assist.
Given the lack of response, trying to get a refund will be nigh on impossible, as to get any help on that requires it in writing, stating amount, date of refund and you card no or at least the last part of it.....
I think you can guess the chance of getting that info....

Unless you have something in writing saying it will be delivered on X date, then you will have to wait 30 days. This is Visa regs, and i guess Mastercard will be the same.

Either way there is no 100% guarantee that you will get your money back or the goods, but the odds are in your favour.

I used to use the local stores to me to get my stuff, but they never keep anything in stock, and always seemed to get it wrong when I ordered anything.

Are you able to supply chains and sprockets? If/when this gets resolved, I'll hopefully order from you.

Can you ask him if he can get any of those rev counters that run from the HT lead for my Ariel sprinter? She has no other electrics than the mag and a mechanical drive is not practical.
Thanks
