Hi all, As I have done an electrical engineering apprenticeship I am really embarrased by having to ask this, but I fear its something i have overlooked. 2 years ago i compleatley dismantled my DT and never got round to putting it back together untill a few weeks ago. all back together now and i had to re-wire some of the loom due to corroded conections etc. I thought all was working fine untill i just went and booked an MOT.....

I put a new bulb in my rear light to notice that one of the filaments is constantly on (think its the brake light), and makes no change when i press either front or back brake. checked connections and earths but I'm sure theres something im not thinking of.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I just remembered I had to use a different front light swich as the last one broke, I will check that first.

Edit2: I just checked the front brake swich, that was not seated correctly so that solved that problem, BUT. the second problem is when i turn my headlights on, the rear light doesnt light up. Middle Finger

R.E. your edit 2

Hi don't know if this helps you but I had the same problem on a DR650rs
Turned out to be a loose connection in the switchgear.

Checked that and it was all fine,m Thanks though!

However, I have solved it. somehow the lrear casing was affecting the bulb, when the casing was off the light worked, fixed this now though, think it was on slightly wrong!!
