Got to love the way you boys didn't think about opening the main doors till the fumes started to get a bit much. Laughing

Could you not bend the exhaust up a bit more so that the can (when on) wasn't quite as far out the back? How do normal karts have theirs?

There was something else I was going to say but cant remember what. Laughing Its my age.

COuld be something about I assume you'll be losing the speedo and just keeping the rev and temp ones?

Latest progress:

https://www.kornel.com/pics/Gokart/Outer%20chassis%20members/

The comment on the can - yes it sticks out fecking far, it's not staying like that. Options are:

1) Chop the link pipe level with the rear bumper (no can)
2) Chop the link pipe level with the rear bumper but weld the silencer mounting plate back on (no can but the option to bolt one on if needs be)
3) Bend the link pipe somehow so it points skyward

As with most other things, it's a "we'll get around to figuring that out eventually" problem. Anybody reshaped an exhaust system before?

The speedo is mechanical so we can't use it, a pushbike speedo will take it's place. The rev counter and temp guage are easily removed from the clocks housing and will be staying - but in a nice new instrument panel type thing we're going to make.

I reckon you should bend it up so it's vertical, like the exhausts on a Big Rig Cool

Then you can get some of those mudflaps with the silver nekkid ladies on them too Very Happy

I was quite interested in this myself. How did you learn about this program, korn and do you know of any others that involve the designing of something, bridge, building etc, and testing of the design?

anyone else?

Korn, what about making the can go horizontal? Parallel to the back of the cart?

I reckon the BCF DVD should be put back until its done, whoever is making it could put a timeline on it with the pics that kornel keeps posting, would be cool to have an image library that you could scroll through on your dvd player, could also get some mean footage with onboard cams and stuff.

Very do-able.

Cos the bike part of the dvd will take me ages anyway, so I wouldn't anticipate it even being finished until early December. So if we do the kart bit last, it shouldn't be a problem.

I am back at work so there's less time for it. Waiting on some parts as well before more work begins...
