I bought a CR125 and a YZ125 but the YZ's powerband does not pull closely as well as the CR's powerband. Is there something I can do or set to correct this?

I was soooo tempted.

Each bike is different and changing the powerband means changing the fuelling slightly which is not easy unless you have the right kit.

There different bikes, therefor they have different powerband.

Before you lot start getting moist about powerband jokes, the OPS as used them in the correct way.

Both are highly tunes MX bikes with approaching 30bhp,

Even thought the CR may feel quicker it might be because the Yz has more power lower down and its powerband not as pronounced.

You would alter the Powerband by changing the expansion chamber and porting in the engine I believe.

I see that the needle that is in the slide of the carburetor is set to the lowest position, do you think it will give it more power if I set the needle higher because then it should get more fuel?

Unless it's running lean, I wouldn't have thought so. More fuel doesn't always mean more power, you need more air to burn with it, else you'll just be running your bike too rich.
