do motorsport they said... it'll be fun they said.

typical day in motorsport;

last saturday, test day at snet.

up at 3am,
left home at 3.30,
arrive at snet 7am,
put the engine in the car for half 9,
first session at half 10,
manage 2 laps before visibility and standing water are too bad.
bring the car in and prep it again,
sit around for a few hours for the second session,
go out and do 15 mins before another mechanical problem.
bring the car in and call it a day
drive 4 hours home and go back to bed.

its not always that bad though.

sometimes we have icecream.

front wheel is actually the back wheel in drag racing
whats normally the front wheel becomes cushioning for when you're holding the front brakes, not slowing down and crash into a wall Very Happy
looks cool though man must be awesome having tools and mechanical knowledge at your disposal cant wait to see this thing run

Ditto. Provided that the typical plasterer's radio typically has a mouth full of plaster....

another bit i did tonight.

the rear sprocket is roughly 8mm too far outboard, however the wheel is central.

i cant take that much out the sprocket carrier, so i'll make an offset front sprocket to move the front out instead.

tool:

Awesome.
I was at Snetterton that weekend as well!

I work as pit crew for Rogues MR2 rental cars. We got bacon!

I love the idea of a whacking great turbo on an already torquey bike. Should be good fun.

Sounds more interesting than Toyota MR2's.

Have you ever had a go in the single seater you've built? Or is it only the contracted driver that gets the honour?
