Random question but could you fit a bike into the back of something like a renault scenic?

I managed a pw90 in a clio but its half the size of a proper bike....

Anyone managed anything more extreme?

pull out the rear seats, and you should be able to,
it depends on the bike, you'll probably have to remove the bars and fairings, and possibly the wheels,

Laughing I really shouldn't admit it, but I've carried a H1 in the (well, partially in) trunk of a Volvo.

I needed to use the trailer to haul my new touring bike, but found it had decided it didn't like our place and ran away to a new home. By this point, I'd bought the bike and had to get it back. Long story short, I pulled the front wheel, put a cut pipe (width of wheel) in the vice and welded a post to it. Stuck the post through the hole where the tow ball mounts, washered and pinned it.............. Stuck the forks over the pipe and put the axle back in.

The big trick was to just ride on like it was nothing, like this was done every day. I'm still betting a badge or two did some reading or asking about such the next day. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Shaft drive, so neutral.
Figured it was good if I just acted as if it were normal. Worked well. Wink
If our van hadn't of had one of those long receiver hitch deals, I would have had to make either some sort of extension for the bumper, or a tongue for the bike with a brace to the tubes, to keep it clear.

Doubt it was legal, but just acted like it was every day. Laughing

Had a Gilera DNA125 in the back of a Laguna, a little bit sticking out but wasn't too bad.

What somebody mentioned on another thread which I've since been pining over is a bit bigger MPV - specifically the Mitsubishi Delicia, which would be perfect for me needs as I could legally stick a bike on the back (dirt bike) or bike inside (sports bike) as a 'day van'. Added bonus of decet off-road ability, which is handy when some of the roads leading up the event are more challenging than the track it's self!

Just bringing this back up......as Im buying a cg (posted elsewhere) and I've realised I need to get it home......

I could borrow a mates van but as it means a 50 mile round trip for him ill try using the scenic first!

It should fit if that clio is anything to go by Shocked

Actually I'm mainly worried about wrecking the inside of the car, tarpaulin or old sheets should stop any leaks but the bie moving around might cause some damage?

Is that with the front wheel on? A cg shouldn't be any hassle then!

Yup, wheels on. Only had to lower the bars to get it in, but a TDR is fairly tall.

Had my ZX6r in the back of my Grand Voyager, fits in through the side door no problem, but no chance of going in through the rear hatch.

Bike sat happily on the sidestand, with me laid flat over the tank bracing it for every corner (as I live in a new town there are plenty of roundabouts).

BTW the voyageur is available for anyone wishing to purchase one for a good price Wink
