Hi,

Could anyone tell me whether the 92 zephyr has an air and oil cooled model?
Reason for asking is all pictures I have seen have an oil cooler but the bike I am doing up doesn't. But there is a space for one.

Any advice much appreciated.

Yes, it's an air cooling radiator of oil passing through it being forced upwards when the engine is turning over coming up from the sump, as can be seen from the attached picture.

I previously owned a B2 model and it had a radiator and everyone I have ever seen had one, but I guess however you bought that one off removed and probably capped it off at the sump possibly?

Thanks for that. I am posting for himself. He's doing up a zr550. Runs fine just cosmetic issues more than anything.

Wished he'd learn to use message boards while he's at it.....got another thing to source now Rolling Eyes Laughing

If the holes for the feed lines have been capped, don't uncap them until you have the oil cooler and pipes. You may find that getting a decent one with decent pipes is a ballache.

Also, you might not really need it, and engines are cheap if you kill one.

Oil Cooler for ZR550, and you just need to verify with seller to make sure you get the pipes with it, plus bolts & washers!
