Ok it happened my fist accident I fell off on a stupid mini round about thanks to a stupid bl**dy woman. I didn't cause any mechanical damage just cosmetic bent pegs brake peddle ect witch bring me to my question. I have panniers and there is a chrome frame that there attached and it protrudes past the panniers for protection. The rear indicators also connects to it the problem been now I have tested its pannier protecting capabilities its gone rusty. With it been a non standard part I'm having problems finding one namely as I don't know what it’s called. So if someone can give me a part name it would really help.

Thanks

Gareth

Depending how badly bent they are you could remove the pegs/brake peddle and use a heavy rubber mallet to beat it back into the original shape to save you money. The later you could treat the rust by sanding it smooth to spray paint with Hammerite spray can matched closely to the colour? Remember when spray painting to cover the areas with paper & masking tape not being painted!

Thanks for the responses I thought it would be crash bars too but I can only find engine crash bars. The pegs I thought I would just by some new one fancy ones any excuse lol. The problem with painting is it’s a chrome part witch did protect the paint. I'm going to go at it with the wire wool and ACF-50 that should stop the rust but it still look scratched and I know it’s a bit daft but I’ll know it’s all scratched and scuffed.
