So I sold the Bandit (which is still my ava-wotsit picture) a few months ago but after sitting in traffic watching far to many bikes go past I decided that I needed another one but wanted something cheap and with 'potential' (as I've recently taken a liking to 'café' styled bikes but didn't want to ruin something valuable).

Watched eBay and the 'For Sale' section on here for a while but nothing really came up. Then after a bit of a more in-depth search (bored Sunday evening) found a CB750 on eBay for £500 with no bids. Seemed like a reasonable bike for that money but expected it to go for more (although prices of them does seem to fluctuate a lot). Anyway, it didn't sell so we went to see him, didn't go crazy with the haggling and ended up agreeing £450. Bike has both tax and MOT so should be some cheap motoring for the summer which is all I ask of it at the moment....

Important bit, picture:

Its defiantly rough around the edges, but that'll do me fine Smile

well congrats on the purchase! Subframe does look a bit twisted though Thinking

On a side note, why have you bothered to link ebay in your post? or is this some automatic shennanigans that I have missed?

Part of the advertising scripts BCF uses. A good AdBlocker, such as Ad Block Plus, gets rid of it.

Rusty in places. The previous owner really wanted to sell the bike, no reserve @ auction? Wink

Love it or hate it, it's this kind of utilitarian look I'm won over by and will aim for over the winter when it's off the road:

Agreed,

On the battery front, you can get those multi-cell batteries now, so just get one and stick it under the seat, out of view.
Then get a sticky number plate and put it on the back.

MadMax-ready road bike. Thumbs Up
