Dude, the second from last word before your post is 1992!

Bike looks in amazing condition, either you've done a lot of work, or the price you paid was an absolute steal.

as gaz says andy 1992 on a J plate. , ta guys!.. more pix up soon. when i can get into the my delightfull room, or more to it time!.lol

The bike is at 17200KM or in pounds and pence, just a smidge over 10K miles.

Been a few bad miles tho, as the guy who owned it, decided the 2T pump output pipe, decided he connect to to the crank case breather. whoops..

there goes the crank bearing.

so for me, its a send off to PJ engineering for a crank rebuild. Plus a complete top end rebuild.

have it all running proper soon. Iam going to rejet, standard is 148, on the dellorto 32mm carb, increasing to 155-160, as it has an RAMair intake and rebore. to think about. Pilot jet will be the same at 38.

It has all the 4DL parts, head , barrel, CDI and engine number, so should be a fun bike, when run it...Smile

needing some small parts still, starter motor, a DTR125RE or X should fit. or any bike that uses the Yam DTR electric start engines.

the top screen is missing, still looking tho..just found a V peice for the fairing from germany, that on its way..

so all good really..

just need some speed block decals, and a custom rear light. R1 looks or even a twin square stop and tail.

Those cheap chinese plastics get mixed reviews. Some say they need a fair bit of fettling to make them fit. But the bit that always put me off is that they don't come with a tank, so you'd need to get that sprayed up to match. Which bumps the costs up by probably 50%.

Nice looking bike. A quick 2 stroke is on my list of bikes I want...along with a 600 super sport and a tourer. Need to get my RXS fixed first though, should be quick...ish when I re-jet it for the spanny I've acquired Smile

oo what spanny you got?

It's made by a company I've never heard of and someone has (badly) welded on an RXS downpipe. Seems to be airtight though. I wish I could remember what make it was...

Rear light would look a lot less like an afterthought if you cut it into the tail fairings.

Or even get a sexy little LED tail/brake light so you can just bolt it on top of the rear fairing.

It reminds me of when people import an old Jap car and have to bolt a fog light under the bumper, and it just looks shite.

Bike's looking good though.

Looks very similar to an RGV250 rear end, RGV lights would look good on that;

(Not an RGV but an RGV rear end none-the-less!)
https://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh258/JoeSnowden/Bros/6dab2be9.jpg

Seems like a steal for 250 quid, I bet the front end alone is worth that!

I was going to go down the custom look, with LED idea, and i think some of the older tzr`s had the light in the tail. I might change it in a later date. I am off to the bike breakers soon ish, and have a scat around to see what looks best to suit. Iam not too happy with the rear. as is, just making it road ready MOT friendly for the min.

I do admit, that the uglyist part of the bike.

Plus i have a flat place for the L plate to sit.lol

thanks for the feed back tho..and i do like that twin square rear end bandit.. would suit my bike.. mmmmmmm...mmmmmmm nice.

because it looks like your tail is taller than that RGV 250 I don't think the RGV rectangular lights would look right, maybe some square ones off an NC30?

I reckon something a bit like this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-rear-stop-and-tail-light-streetfighter-custom-/160643342290?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item256716dfd2#ht_500wt_922

Maybe something not quite so rectangular, but that sort of thing. Might then need a separate numberplate light, but you can get bolts with an LED in them.

EDIT:
Or this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-LED-Tail-Light-Integrated-Indicators-Trike-Honda-/150659155542?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2313fc4656#ht_7345wt_1139

would be cool if it wasn't chrome effect. (Numberplate bracket could be ditched).
