Not a hugely special bike, but its my new VFR400 nc30, and would explain why I have been a bit slack on my other projects. This bike has been taking my time and money for the moment.

I bought the bike as the body work is in really good condition, and has a full SS exhaust system as well as a Renthal chain and sprocket kit. Although she was a bit dirty.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/3075760-1.jpg

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/3075760-3.jpg

My first plan was to strip the fairing off and use it as a road legal track bike.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0067.jpg

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0063.jpg

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0064.jpg

It all went on well as a track fairing could but I was far from happy with the result. So I decided to put my old original red fairing from my other project vfr. As well as giving her a good clean, lube and check over.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0149.jpg

What I found hiding under all the grime.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0152.jpg

Going back together.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0151.jpg

Did my usual trick to VFR's and place some black vinyl to the screen to cover the bit behind the clocks.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0158.jpg

Now done and a quick coat of speed wax.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0159.jpg

It has a red rear seat on until I paint the single seat cover and I replaced the faded red anodised brake fluid resovoir with an original black one.

Next in line is to get a graphics kit made up to make her look like this.

Seeing as the Honzuki has been put on hold I thought I would put the wheels to good use.

The VFR will need new tyres in the not too distant future so I'll get these painted gold as well as some new boots. Then swap the wheels over.

Graphics have finally turned up. Not a perfect match but still good enough to replicate Foggy's RC30.

https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/photo.jpg

Cheeky teaser shot half way through. Want to get some new rear number boards made up, the shape isn't quite what I wanted.

Might get some new numbers made, the 8 seems a bit lost on the board

Tyres are ordered and the wheels are at the painters now. Also got some bigger number 8's coming too.

No idea what this painter is like so its a good test before I had him the PVM's to paint for my other nc30.

Couldn't put old horrible fasteners onto freshly painted wheels
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0287.jpg

So I blasted them and gave them to the zinc coaters
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0288.jpg

And the tyres have turned up

Spent the morning on the bike, was very eager to pick the wheels up to say the least.

I got the old wheels off, these will become my track day set to make the most out the tyres before they are scrap. I changed the disc's over to keep the gold centred ones on the gold wheels.
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0305.jpg

I was going to fit these, but the diameter of the hole was too large for the valve. Thumbs Down
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0307.jpg

Promptly got the tyres fitted.
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0309.jpg

Fitted the disc's with the new bolts, then re-balanced it.
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0313.jpg

Fitted the rear to the bike, easy jobs first Wink
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0315.jpg

With the new coated nut.
https://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Timon1983/Honda%20Britain%20VFR/IMG_0316.jpg

With the new larger 8's on, this is my Carl Fogarty's RC30 Honda Britain TT winner replica 100% done, she's not perfect by a long shot but I think she's turned out pretty well and am very happy with her.

The gold wheels really do finish that bike off dont they, make a massive difference. The bigger number 8 also finishes it off well.

Well in!!! Thumbs Up
