Donnybrago: The Leanometer wasn't conceived as a track day device but was designed to show all aspects of bike performance into, including and out of corners. We used 25 corner recall so that easy run through of short journeys would be possible using the device without having to connect a PC. The device has a good memory and we may introduce a specific track day version for USB connection.

iooi: Moto GP bikes are riddled with very expensive sensors. For fast and accurate lean angle display they likely use a combination of gyro's, laser ride height sensors and accelerometers. All of this is expensive and we designed the Leanometer to do that same job in an affordable way.

I think the point he was likely trying to make was that what moto gp riders use to judge lean is probably something like this...

Smile

Because in the end, the only number that really matters is the laptime Smile.
Of course data logging etc is used to analyse that and that like.

G: Fair point. They also use a lot of gathered data to go faster and the Leanometer's is as good as anything they have at present. Over the years much effort has been spent trying to get good bike lean information even at great expense and you can now have this on your own bike inexpensively.
