Had one on the A5 on the other side of the road pointing towards me flash the bike in front that I was following.

It was a truvello type so intended to get traffic in my direction.

Hope it doesn't take photos of the back plate from the front or my 'friend' could be in trouble

They don't......

But be aware. Start giving them the finger or other stupid stuff and you could end up having the police out to find you as a few have found out......

I still don't and wouldn't speed through them, just wondered what they planned to do other than track you down if you were doing silly speeds.

There have been cases before where someone was repeatedly caught by a forward facing speed camera, so the police made a special effort to identify the rider.

I suspect that was a speed camera van, not just a speed camera?

Yup, many of the vans have cameras facing in both directions, so they'll catch you speeding on approach and then nab your plate even if you've slowed down by the time you pass them.

Pulling over to hide your plate before passing them would be perverting the course of justice, which is a Big Boy offence, I should hasten to add. Wink

In North Wales, they set up a speed camera with a horse box and a4x4 sitting in a lay-by.
As it turned out, the 4x4 did not have the proper mirrors for pulling the horse box.
A nasty trick, as they just open the front and rear flaps in the box, even driving at the legal speed, it was a difficult one to spot. Evil or Very Mad
