Sick of unchaining the gsxr and putting leathers on just to nip McDonalds or to the shop, so got this for £360 all road legal.

Needs a few bits doing, but it's got a brand new engine in, wide renthals, 28mm carb, DEP exhaust, and a Big valve top end whatever the fook that means lol

If anybody can share any light as to what mods I can do, or forums to speak to etc. I'd be greatful.

I've already been told a YZ 125 engine will bolt straight in.

I couldn't agree more, Mike. I've lost so much respect for the law since growing up and seeing everything get banned or become mandatory. I swear if they go much further with bullshit like mandatory helmets and whatnot I'm just going to do what I damn well please since the trade off between risking jail/fines/ban and having no freedom to live my life as I'd like will at some point become even.

I don't follow your reasoning. The bike is rather irrelevant. You could just get on the GSXR wearing whatever you consider appropriate to the speed you'll be travelling.

Nice bike for a runaround though, if its reliable enough. More interesting than a moped/scooter.

...definitely could do with some carbon fibre.

have a look at pitbikeclub website - i used to have a road legal pit, 110cc, great fun. Not comfy for long runs tho! You can stick 160cc engines in 'em...by wary, they're not the most well built machines, but parts on ebay are dirt cheap. Also pitbikeparts.co.uk do plenty of upgrades etc, the bloke that runs the site is a top bloke, looks after folk. Have fun!

You can get 160 engines on ebay for a bit, although.. I'm sure Mr Pitbike can tell you a better way of doing it with different cams or something Laughing

If you do get a new engine, PM me as I need a pit bike engine for my 50cc in sig, 160 also bolts straight in Laughing

f*cking pit bikes

who the f*ck invented them

b*stard 160bhp less than the gixxer and it still nailed me lol

Sump plug had a leak ( copper washer wasn't changed when oil was changed ) soaked the back wheel in oil without me knowing, went into a roundabout at 70kph, slid, caught, and lobbed me off LOL

Bikes spotless, all the levers flip up, my knee dodn't though.

Pretty tidy little bike - and just to go along with the convo in here... I wear my leathers when I am on my bike - whether i'm just going to the shops, or going for a 30+ mile ride. I feel a lot safer in my leathers on my bike than just jeans, jacket and helmet.

looks like it would have been safer riding the gsxr to mcdonalds with no leathers, than the little death trap.

I know someone who has a hayabusa and a monkey bike. He says the monkey bike is far more dangerous as it's so small people just dont see him on it. He no longer rides it on the road.

Buy little bike so I don't have to put 1 piece leathers on, then fall off wearing jeans. Doh!

Bikes brilliant though, even if it does have a 4 speed, all up, gearbox, weird going down all the gears to find yourself sitting at a junction in neutral Confused

Suspension deffo needs needs tweaking, far too soft for the road.

Insurance was on a new policy, 4 years NCB, 33 years old.
