No, although personally I do like the idea. I know he got a bit slated when he mentioned them here but at the end of the day, if it saves a few injuries (or a life) then it's been a worthwhile product.

Now playing devil's advocate...
The downside could be that it may lead to the users of it not performing decent obs?

I kind of like the idea too, but any time the sun is behind you, you're going to get a facefull.

Yeah, very good point!
That could be a problem in the week we actually get any sun here Wink

You're not going to get blinded by something as convex as that - your standard mirrors are far better suited to that purpose.

I do like the idea. I don't think anyone who has the habit of shoulder checking will get too used to this and fail normal shoulder checks. When I'm in the van with the little blindspot mirrors, it's still constant habit to look out of my window before moving over.

I think this would be most useful for just catching things that come up unexpectedly.

I could be quite tempted. I'll have to do more reading.

How is it secured, though? Does it just suction on to the screen? I don't want to have to carry it around with me to avoid it being nicked.

The seller seems like a decent chap, but I think he stuffed up a bit by squandering his free publicity long before he had any stock available.

+1 on liking the idea, but I'd want to see it in practice - it's a bit too much for an impulse purchase. Sadly, if it takes off, some off-the-books outfit will start selling shoddy knock offs for £10.

This is exactly what I said about that new Citroen "blind spot mirror". Which shows a small dot of light on your wing mirror when someone is in your blind spot. Great idea, but people will rely on it rather than their own eyes.

£36 + £4 P&P, f*cking expensive. Also I notice the seller only has 2 feedback points - what's with that?

However, however, however... unless I can find a cheap alternative, yes I am thinking about buying one, it does look very effective.

Wouldn't fit anywhere even marginally useful on my current bike. Even if it did fit, I couldn't bring myself to spend £40 on some bent shiny plastic.

The seller makes very little profit from them in all fairness, although im sure he said he wouldnt go down the egay route and only sticking with his website, i could be wrong though but these may be knock off's, id stick to buying them from here https://www.huntercreate.com .

He did offer a forum discount when they first come out. Not sure if it is still applicable now.

Any attempt at making riders safer is time well spent to me Thumbs Up

Coming from a designer - Its near impossible to please 100% of people, 100% of the time; So even a small percentage of that is still worthwhile

Good idea but as a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist and about £30 too expensive.

There is a device called "blind spot mirror" you know... Laughing

He'll never get the patent. He simply whacks the mirror in the middle rather than left and right.
This is called "I have an idea", not "an invention".
