Hey all me again. I am planning a tyre change when I can save up a few pennies I don't know what to go for. My tyre tread is still good however the tyres themselves are appalling (tvs') I was considering either conti-go's or Avon AM26's. I don't know of many other tyre choices :/ so I'm mithering you guys! Anyone with experience of either or just an opinion I will be forever grateful (well at least for the time that the tyres are on) thanks guys Smile

Ben

Conti-Go! or Michelin Pilot Sporty, if you don't mind a slightly different size.

Usual answer: spend the money on passing your tests, get another bike.

They won't let him take test with illegal tyres...and even if they are legal, I wouldn't trust shit tyres in the wet on the Mod 1 Wink

His tyres are legal and the same advice has been given to him by me - if he hurries up and passes his test, the tyres will still be legal and so it'll save him lots of £££s Wink

And as for Module 1 on crap tyres...my CG had rubbish tyres and I passed perfectly first time. You probably put more strain on the tyres riding to work than you do on your mod 1! Wink haha

Thanks guys I will do my test when im ready. No offence to anyone (the last thing that I need right now is an argument) but the subject was on tyres not tests. Anyway neil. What do you mean by a slightly different size? Do they still fit right? Thanks all

They are not available in the standard specified sizes for the CBF, but do fit, according to folks who have tried.

I *think* (from memory) that people have successfully used the older CBR125 sizes - 90/80 - 17 Front, 110/80 - 17 Rear - on the CBF. But strictly speaking it's a modification so you should tell your insurers.

I would personally go for Conti-Go!'s, which are okay, although I did absolutely love the Pilot Sportys on my YBR.

They're probably the best choice for your tyre size, but I wouldn't bother replacing them until your TVS ones are borderline legal...which aint for ages yet being brutally honest Wink
