Hi all, speedo no work on my NSR!

Need tips on how to check why, and what to look for etc.

Feel like a right noggin for asking, but wait, I am!

Cheers

Probably the little sprocket bit near the front wheel, I know colin (I think) had a problem with his in the past.

he or Keith will be able to expand.

It could be the speedo cable, so take that off and see if it is broken, if it is buy a new 'un.

If not, its probably the section of the speedo drive that lives in the front wheel. If thats gone then it also has a habit of fucking up the wheel bearings as well. Take the front wheel off and you should see a section around the hole thats got 2 prongs on, each about 5mm wide and opposite each other. These prongs tend to bend and break with use and press onto the wheel bearings thus fucking them. While you've got the wheel off you may as well grease the speedo drove up.
