Its just not happening, i've got the head off it but just can't sink it, its not spinning but cobolt bit with cutting agent is useless, i think its all stainless steel: rivett and surroundings.

contemplating taking it all off and getting it under pillar drill? but thats a mission just for one poxy rivett.

any tips?

chisel the head off and knock it through with a punch if you need to.

On second thoughts, have you knocked the pin through before drilling?

No. This one still had part of the pin in it (had obviously snapped near flush with the head when it was originally popped), and i didn't attempt to dislodge it, just started drilling.
