I've got a GN125 which shares the same engine, I decided there was much point. It is what it is, a low powered machine for someone looking to gain experience. Suzuki did do a 200cc Djebel (DR), I found some threads on a Google search where people had grafted the 200 onto a 125 frame. Bear in mind if you're only got a CBT (assuming you have, riding a DR125) then you wouldn't legallly be allowed to use the bike as it goes beyond the cc & BHP of a CBT rider.

To be honest just get the best from the DR, keep on top of servicing and maintenance and it'll serve you well.

To be fair it's not a sh1t heap.
It is just what it is and if you need better you got to buy something else.

Have you passed your test?

The reality is that if you haven't and you change things then have a crash or such and an assessor see's unlisted mod's, it will be very bad for you.

It is often worth just sailing along with an unabused 125 and switching it for a bigger bike as soon as you can.

couldn't agree more - i know i started off on an old CG125 until i could pass my test, that was a good few years ago, but it got me to where i wanted to be and provided me a 'foot in the door' to geting more exciting bikes a short while after (sitting test etc)
