I have a CPI Aragon 125cc scooter and am wondering if anyone knows of any steps i can take to push some more speed out of this machine!

It current does 50mph but has a red marker which i think indicates it's top speed at around 65mph. I tried a sports exhaust and still have this but all it did was give me more acceleration Neutral

Just wondering if anyone knows where these are restricted because it seems to stick at 50mph and whistles as though it is being held back

Not while maintaining even the slightest glimmer of cost efficiency, no.

4t scooters tend to be designed to produce a certain amount of power, and are then gear accordingly. You may be abel to squeeze a tiny bit more out with a 'racing' cdi, as they're so comedically called, but I wouldn't bank on any serious speed increase.

Hmmm ok, i only use it to get to work and back mainly but when i get on country roads 50mph seems like your doing 10mph

Aren't too bothered about the cost really as it only costs me about a fiver a week to get to work and back as it is lol

Wouldn't mind a bit more speed tho but it looks like best option is just to get a better bike haha

do your tests on a geared 125cc before the dreaded 3rd directive and get something faster

Might try one of those YBR's first, they seem a good little run around.

However i may need to pass my test ASAP before this thing in 2013

It's a spambot. We've had several of the same type of posts over the past couple of weeks.

Easy mistake to make Wink

I can reaffirm this! The YBR was a great bike especially for learning. So reliable and also quite forgiving so if you want a geared 125, go for one of them!

Looking into the YBR and if i find one at the right time i will get one dude.

My dad took some kind of padded cover off of the internal air filter and the bike seems to run a little better now, acceleration wise anyway

Still does 50mph tops but seems to get there a lot quicker

Yeah probably wouldn't run without the cover on, not the wisest thing to do

Run fine for almost a week with it off, it's only like some kind of slip over thing. I'll get a pic 2mins

It's that little black thing over the filter

I think it's going to die now Razz

The foam thing over it, seems fine to me. Still got it if it starts playing up.

It was like holding back before and jerking if i let off the throttle, not it doesn't do that and runs smooth :S

As others have said, get your test done ASAP before the 3rd directive comes in else you'll be royally bum-buggered if you plan on sticking with bikes and don't fancy having to do another 2, 3 or 4 tests before you can get on an unrestricted machine.

Testes > do your tests > big boy's bike > more speed.
