You really riding that on TPF&T?!?

Like fuck would I do that on a brand spanking new bike that cost 7 bags. I paid £860 FC for mine the first year (Driving ban, power commander and other mods declared).

Good luck to you if you crash that Sad

I only insure the 125 FC... all others are TPFT or TPO depending on how much they rape me.

Sold the BlueFlame for £10 so can't complain! Ordered a 1/4 quick release fuel cap and a smattering of crash protection yesterday. Will post up to date pics once it's found it's way from the far east.

Look much better than the stock levers. Went for the shorty ones but kind of wish i went for a long clutch lever and shorty brake.

Helpful things, especially if you have small hands like me Embarassed

Grabbing the levers on the "5" setting (1 being the closest) ... feels like they are out at the front wheel haha Very Happy .. Think my clutch is set on 4 and that still feels miles away, Might set it down to 3...

Not to harp on about the insurance too much but TPFT on a financed bike. Are you mad? If you send it down the road you will set fire to money every month for nothing. I'd bubble wrap it till April.

New tyres just arrived in time for trackday as my rear is currently more edgey than a fifty pence piece. Went for a set of these:

https://i.ebayimg.com/t/MAXXIS-SUPERMAXX-SPORT-TYRES-120-60-17-160-60-17-PAIR-/00/s/MzI5WDMyOQ==/$(KGrHqJ,!k4E8-CH,M82BPQ8jCJLyw~~60_12.JPG

No idea whether they are better or worse than the BT023s that came stock on the bike. My general feeling is that they will grip better, have worse wet weather performance and wont last as long but at the price i paid, im not too fussed.

Not had a problem with it yet. Also, there doesnt appear to be an air hole in the top so as the fuel gets used, the suction means its quite hard to get the cap off.

So its not quick release at all, its quite a pain in the arse.... does look nice though.

Well..... After months of "trailer hitch" jokes, I've finally succumbed to fitting a tail tidy. I have to say, massive improvement over the stock mud flap. Just need to wire in a plate light and get a stick on reflector and it'll be sweet.

Before:

During (quite nice looking I reckon!):

Almost finished article:

Not overjoyed at the size of the indicators but they will do the trick for now.

Have turned the indicator brackets on the tail tidy around so that lops off about an inch so the indicators dont look like an after thought anymore.

Also got round to wiring in the plate light, had to mask off some of the light due to it showing light out the back (MOT fail/illegal?).

All in all, productive morning was had by all.

Acemastr, drop me a PM, we can arrange something!

Multitude of reasons really. Mainly because i wanted more of an all round kind of bike. Needed something i would be comfortable on for long rides and would accomodate a pillion comfortably.

Sat on a few out and out sports bikes and thought the riding position would be too extreme for me for now, the riding position on the F is similar to my old CBR125 and is genuinely the most comfortable bike i've ever ridden.

Still goes almost as quick as the RR (having the same engine), handles superb and does everything i need it to do.

When i chop this in either when im bored of it or just fancy a change, i've decided on the 08+ Fireblade so ill get my superbike fix in two years.

ahh got ya. I've not been on a sports yet so I've not experienced the ride position. I've sat on both models of a 2012 cbr at the local dealers and I never noticed much differance but that was with me sat still. Great bike anyway what else do you have planned for it

Really REALLY really want a set of Arrow downpipes for it to release the noise. Not much else apart from that to be honest. Restrictor comes off August 2014 which gives me something to look forward to.

Might invest a load of money in some crash protectors if I intend on carrying on doing trackdays too... Oh and a whiter/brighter headlight bulb if I can work out how to get the OEM fecker out its a right ball ache.
