We have Show Us Your Bikes. We have 125cc let's see your bikes. But what do BCFers use to cover their noggins? Don't be worried, get your helmet out and tell us why you chose it.

Do you really want to tempt fate by living dangerously in this way?? Shocked
Better get your NSFW tag at the ready

edit : my current lid as shown in my avatar <- Duchinni D409 Ace of Spades.
My previous (first) lid was an AGV VFlyer, with the flames on the front, checkered flag across the top, and Mad Dog design on the back

My first helmet so I have no bases for comparison but I loves it. The flick-down sun shade is a cracking idea, and the pin-lock visor works fantastically

it's a caberg duke by the way

I got this one, seemed an ok price for a first helmet (£120), had a nice fit, was matt black which was one of my 'wants', has a built-in sun visor thingy, chin insert thingy so it's quieter, and pinlock ready (although I've discovered that getting the pinlock add-on for this helmet is near damn impossible as it's not one of the 'popular' brands).

Their website says it's silent, which is laughable, no helmet is silent Rolling Eyes

Arai Chaser V.

Lighter than stock with special weight reductions such as removal of air directing scoops and 'shaved' paintwork.
Tested more than your average helmet... Crash tested twice to ensure consistent protection!
End of the line.

^^^Your pinlock looks loose. Wink

For some reason it seems difficult to throw away old helmets. I've only just binned my 8 year old FM lid, and it was a vile in every respect. The Caberg Zonda I'll keep as a spare.

I wonder if anyone has ever come up with a way of recycling/upcycling damaged or old helmets? There must be so many of them just going to landfill. I've often wondered about this.... c'mon, get your thinking caps on...

EDIT:

Maybe we should make these with em:

Have tried to get rid of mine to St. Johns and the proper ambulance service. Both either not interested, don't know or can't be bothered to get back to me.

Another idea I've seen is plantpot holders.

However, I don't have the time or inclination for that so it's off to landfill. Or at least the tip and see if the workers have the morals not to put them on eBay.
