Currently use one of these.

Wife has one of these, she got it for £19.99 in a mega motorcycle store sale. I'm jealous and wanted one but they didn't have my size in black or silver.

(Warning TL;DR)

Always wanted a Simpson Bandit or something along those lines, so when I managed to get some spare cash lying around, I got this from Japan.

https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/59/vaf2.jpg

Cost half of what an actual Simpson would. Fit and finish is very good, with fully removable lining. However the padding is of borderline novelty-helmet thickness. Pretty noisy too. Just like the Bandits are, from what I've heard.

One thing that I didn't like was the chinstrap's odd length, which when fastened would have the D-rings right across the throat. Not comfy. Amazingly enough the straps were fastened with screws and nuts Shocked instead of the rivets that almost everyone else uses.

Lacking more suitable tools, I brutally hacked the straps out of an ancient Arai Freeway with an old screwdriver. These were then bolted in. Compared to the stock straps, the Arai straps were infinitely more plush and had the D-rings on the side of the neck when fastened. I guess this is one reason why you pay a premium for the big brands.

Next up, looking to get some decals made to turn it into a replica of Elio de Angelis' F1 helmet. If that doesn't work out I'd probably just plaster it in logos.

AGV Grid in plain white.

https://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/images/InitialSet/agv_helmet_grid_solid_white_detail_1_600.jpg

It's a great helmet with a great look to it but I can't help but feel plain helmets are a bit boring. I'm just too tight to splash the cash on one with a fancy paintjob.

Justified buying a new lid by attempting to sell all the others i've accumulated...

Cost 55 quid including a spare visor, bargain i'd say Thumbs Up Seems really comfortable and the first helmet i've actually fitted perfectly. Usually somewhere between medium and large, but the mediums spot on this time. Hopefully will get a chance to use it in a month or two Whistle

Light and comfortable helmet, very happy with it.
The only thing I can fault it on is when doing shoulder checks at 60mph+ the visor comes up a little.

My current lid. Shoei X-Spirit II Vermeulen rep.
Got swayed over to Shoei from Arai dude to this being reduced to £399 about 18 months ago.

Love the lid, very comfy, and pretty quiet too.

New lid - Shoei GT Air

https://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r71/siany_album/63590897-31E3-4887-84A7-DD254EA51E09_zps8blwpk1k.jpg

Its very comfortable but I didn't put the pinlock in the first time I wore it. End of my road, totally blind.

My first and only lid, it was bought when I was riding pillion back in 2008 ish and has sat in its storage bag in a cupboard until recently (maybe used 3 times) when I did my CBT.

I wasn't particularly keen on the styling at the time and even less so now but it fits nicely, I do want to look at upgrading it very soon though.
