If you see my previous post above, I had wanted to do up my helmet like Elio de Angelis's lid.

That didn't work out.

While Googling for more pictures of aforementioned lid, I stumbled upon another driver, Jochen Mass, in his own Simpson helmet.

I liked how the livery, whether by coincidence or on purporse, resulted in the look of a skull with just one well-placed stripe. I ordered some black vinyl tape and hopped onto the skull helmet bandwagon:

One of these turned up at work for me today. Very nice fit although I had a hell of a time swapping out the visor for a tinted one. I'll never get the hang of that Arai mechanism.

I have just replaced my trusty Arai Viper GT with a nice new Shoei NXR. I'm just waiting for the smoked visor to arrive for it, but I am very impressed indeed with the NXR.

Painted my open face helmet with some acrylic and oil-based markers. The plain matte black was getting boring. The clearcoat turned out glossier than I wanted but hopefully wear and tear will take a bit of the edge off.

Thanks, I didn't think about that. Maybe I'll add it in very small text underneath. So small it's borderline subliminal messaging.

Same as my wifes lid. HJC RPHA ST
Although I keep nicking it because it's quieter than my Shark Speed R
and has a wider field of vision making high speed lifesavers far easier.

Schuberth R1.

Lighter than average.
Quieter than average.
End of line Sale.

Nearly 2 years of daily use and it still looks, operates and feels good.

Pity they don't make them anymore..Cross that bridge in a year or three.

My latest purchase.

https://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc408/Class37188/photo-43.jpg

Comfy, quiet. I would have preferred the matt black with blue but I wasn't going to pay an extra £60 for it.

I have this one.

https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/105956

It's my first helmet so have nothing to compare it to.
It feels comfy not sure if it's that quite as it gets a bit noisy at about 80mph and almost impossible to hear my tunes over 100mph Very Happy
Just got some in ear earphones which should resolve this problem.
